My Chinese blind date
Yellow fever is racist. But I have fallen for this damsel in China purely for what lies beyond the looks. So much so, that I made ChatGPT write a poem for my new found love.
With a delightful name, Momo (Hello Group), is a Chinese mobile-based social and entertainment platform. The company operates a platform that includes its Momo mobile application and TanTan. The Momo mobile application enables users to establish and expand their social relationships based on locations, interests, and other relevant characteristics. It offers a range of features, including instant messaging, live streaming, short video, and social games.
Some of the unique and innovative features include digital tipping and virtual gifting, that allows users to tip and gift their favorite live streamers and content creators. Users can send virtual gifts, such as bunnies or cars, to show their appreciation for the content being produced. These virtual gifts can be purchased with real money, and the content creators can then convert these gifts into cash. This feature is becoming increasingly popular on the platform, as it allows users to support their favorite content creators and encourages them to continue creating high-quality content. It is like OnlyFans, minus the overtly kinky bit, and has a more personal touch. Also, gifting is culturally embedded in China.
On a more kinkier note, Momo also acquired TanTan. Tantan is a Chinese mobile social dating application developed by Xu Xiaoliang. It allows users to make new friends, match and date with people nearby, similar to Tinder. The app is available in both Chinese and English languages, and it’s most popular in China, where it has been downloaded over 100 million times. Tantan uses a location-based algorithm to match users based on their proximity to one another, allowing them to chat and interact with each other. Users can also rate their matches, which helps the app learn more about their preferences. The app also includes features like a “Moments” section where users can share photos and updates, as well as a “People Nearby” feature that allows users to find other users in their vicinity.
If you know a thing or two about the world demographics, one can assume that the Chinese are a horny bunch. Off late, they have been locked up but it is soon to change and TanTan can benefit from all that pent up latent energy. Assuming those peeps are going to mate like rodents behind the great wall, the TanTan app will see some high activity as China reopens from their lockdowns.
Momo has more cash per share than cost per share. You could potentially be buying a dollar for few cents. But hey, don’t hit on my date, go find your own one. Besides capital investments are subject to market risks, in this case, an additional layer of political risks. Do your own research. Don’t trust random people on the internet. Also, I am not the guy to kiss and tell, but so far dating Momo has been great!
